Luon Cave

Luon Cave, located on Bo Hon Island about 14 km southeast of Tuan Chau Island and just 1 km from Sung Sot Cave, is a haven of stunning natural beauty and picturesque landscapes. Unlike traditional caves, Luon Cave is accessible only by boat, leading to a serene brackish lake surrounded by a cluster of islands. This captivating destination has long been a highlight for those cruising Halong Bay.

Cruise ships anchor near the entrance as they cannot enter the lake. Visitors can choose between kayaking or taking a small boat to navigate through the cave. The entrance to Luon Cave is 4 meters wide, 60 meters long, and varies in height from 2.5 to 4 meters depending on the tide. Beyond the entrance lies a peaceful circular lake encircled by majestic limestone mountains. From the boat, visitors can spot playful monkeys on the cliffs, lush trees sprouting from rocky surfaces, and fig trees hanging down.
