Bai Tu Long Bay 2-Day Cruise – The Ultimate Northern Vietnam Getaway
If you are searching for a serene escape in Northern Vietnam, the Bai Tu Long Bay 2-day Cruise is the perfect choice. Nestled next to the world-famous Ha Long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay is a hidden gem that offers the same breathtaking beauty with far fewer crowds. With its emerald-green waters, towering limestone karsts, secluded beaches, and authentic fishing villages, this cruise promises a peaceful yet enriching journey through one of Vietnam’s most stunning natural wonders.
Why Choose a Bai Tu Long Bay 2-Day Cruise?
Unlike the crowded routes of Ha Long Bay cruises, Bai Tu Long Bay offers travelers a more private, tranquil, and authentic journey through Northern Vietnam’s natural wonders. A 2-day, 1-night cruise is the perfect balance for those who want to explore the bay without rushing, combining adventure, relaxation, and cultural experiences.
Here’s why this trip is worth adding to your Vietnam itinerary:
🌊 Luxury Cruise Accommodation
Spend the night on a modern cruise ship equipped with spacious cabins, private balconies (on luxury cruises), and panoramic windows so you can wake up to breathtaking views of the limestone mountains rising above emerald waters.
🛶 Kayaking Adventures
Glide through hidden lagoons, caves, and limestone arches that can only be accessed by kayak. This activity is a highlight of Bai Tu Long Bay, allowing you to connect with nature in a peaceful, crowd-free setting.

🏝️ Pristine Beaches
Unlike the busy beaches of Ha Long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay is home to secluded sandy shores where you can relax, swim, or simply enjoy the serenity of untouched landscapes.

🐟 Cultural Encounters at Fishing Villages
Visit floating fishing villages to see how local families live on the water, learn about traditional fishing techniques, and gain a deeper appreciation for the culture that has thrived here for centuries.
Experience the Untouched Beauty of Vietnam’s Best-Kept Secret
Are you tired of overcrowded tourist destinations? Looking for an authentic Vietnamese experience that combines luxury, adventure, and tranquility? A Bai Tu Long Bay 2-Day Cruise offers exactly that – a journey into one of Southeast Asia’s most pristine natural wonders at an incredible value of just $120 all-inclusive.

Why Choose Bai Tu Long Bay Over Ha Long Bay?
When planning a trip to Northern Vietnam, most travelers immediately think of the world-renowned Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its dramatic limestone karsts and emerald waters. However, its rising popularity has also brought large crowds and heavy boat traffic. Just northeast of Ha Long, Bai Tu Long Bay offers the same breathtaking scenery but with a more peaceful, authentic, and eco-friendly atmosphere.
Here’s why many seasoned travelers prefer Bai Tu Long Bay:
🚤 Fewer Tourist Boats
While Ha Long Bay sees hundreds of cruises and day tours daily, Bai Tu Long Bay has far fewer operators, meaning you can admire the majestic limestone islands without the constant bustle of tourist crowds.
🌊 Cleaner Emerald Waters
Because it is less visited, Bai Tu Long Bay is known for its pristine environment and clearer waters, making it ideal for kayaking, swimming, and snorkeling. The bay feels more untouched, offering a refreshing sense of exclusivity.

🐟 Authentic Local Culture
In Bai Tu Long Bay, you can still find traditional floating fishing villages, where locals continue to live as they have for generations. Visiting these communities provides a more genuine glimpse into coastal Vietnamese life compared to the more commercialized experiences in Ha Long.
🏝️ Secluded Beaches
Hidden coves and white sandy beaches are scattered across Bai Tu Long Bay, many of which are only accessible by small boats or kayaks. Here, you can relax in complete serenity, far away from the noise of mass tourism.
⛰️ The Same Iconic Limestone Formations—Without the Crowds
Bai Tu Long Bay shares the same spectacular karst landscape as Ha Long Bay, with towering cliffs and mysterious caves, but you’ll often feel like you have the scenery all to yourself.
✨ In short, if you want the buzz and nightlife, Ha Long Bay may be the better fit. But if you prefer tranquility, cleaner waters, and authentic experiences, a Bai Tu Long Bay 2-day cruise is the ultimate choice.

This could be one of my favourite things I did in Vietnam. We were picked up in Hanoi at our hotel and the transport was very comfortable with some stops. We were then taken aboard our boat and met our tour guide Duc. Duc was incredible, I think he may be the best tour guide I’ve ever had. He always had incredible energy, he was funny, helpful and adaptable for the group. He taught us squid fishing and tai chi and he just made the experience so much fun. As for the boat, all the staff and the rooms were amazing. This cruise is smaller in terms of people and I would definitely recommend instead of a boat with 500 people. The bays are beautiful and this tour gives you the best opportunity to see them at the best. If I ever come back to Vietnam I would definitely do this tour again!
It was amazing! The ship is really authentic and the crew was very nice and professional! Special highlight for the guide Hung that made the all experience really worth it! He was amazing and very dedicated to every guest, you could tell by the way he spoke about the Bay that he really loves it! Super recommend if you want an authentic 5* experience!
Everyone on board was so lovely, the food was delicious and there was a lot of it too! All the activities were great – they fit so much into a short tour! Would highly recommend ☺️
Great to be able to explore this beautiful region with a small group on a more traditional vessel – the guide and crew were all excellent . The food was delicious and the accomodation lovely.
the tour was great, the guide was very informative and scenery was beautiful
